SCRAM GPS Air Travel Safety Statement

Recommendation

SCRAM Systems recommends that Program Participants who will be traveling by air while wearing a SCRAM GPS Device carry a printed copy of their SCRAM GPS Program Participant Agreement, along with a printed copy of the following statement, to share with airport security and airline personnel if needed.

Statement

The SCRAM GPS device (the “Device”) is part of a court-ordered location tracking and monitoring program, and transfers data to a computerized monitoring network. Program participants are compelled to be fitted with the Device, and agree to wear the Device on-ankle, uninterrupted, for the duration of the monitoring program. This equipment is intended for use on individuals being monitored by a trained supervising authority.

The SCRAM GPS Device conforms with health, safety, environmental protection, radio frequency, and electromagnetic compatibility standards in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The Device is powered by an internal rechargeable Li-ion or Li-polymer battery, as well as an internal 3V MS621FE-FL11E rechargeable coin/button cell battery.

Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc., d.b.a. “SCRAM Systems,” asserts the Device is as safe to bring into the passenger compartment of a commercial airliner as any other admissible portable electronic device.
