Firmware Update via Direct Connect

Instructions

Please follow these steps to ensure a quick and successful firmware download:

  1. Connect the CAM/HA bracelet to the Direct Connect hood and wake the bracelet with a magnet.
  2. Direct Connect will display “Communicating.”
  3. Upon communicating, the bracelet will first download any existing data.
  4. Direct Connect will then display an “Upgrading Software” message.
  5. You will begin to see the green light flash rapidly (if the bracelet is being worn, this will be more difficult to see).
  6. Direct Connect will again display “Communicating.”
  7. The process is complete when the Direct Connect screen reflects “Communication Complete.” Do NOT remove the Direct Connect hood until you see this message to ensure the bracelet has successfully installed the firmware download.
    Information If you do not see the “Communication Complete” message after 10 minutes, unplug the Direct Connect cable and restart the process from step #1 above.
  8. If it is taking longer than 10 minutes to go from “Upgrading Software” to “Communicating” (steps 4-6), restart the process as outlined above. If after two restarts, you are not sure if the firmware has successfully installed, please reach out to Customer Service for verification.
